The Story So Far...

I was born in 1987 in Newport, South Wales, and I am one of five children. We are all very close and I couldn’t have done this without the support of my family, friends and partner who have helped me at every hurdle.

When I was just 14 years of age I was asked to do my first wedding hair. Since then wedding hair has become second nature to me and I have always strived to create the most unique styles in hair design. Combining this with my skills in make up art has proved a great success, as I am able to offer a complete mobile beauty package that ensures brides feel at their most beautiful.

Educationally, I always excelled in arts. I went to St Joseph’s RC High School where I would consistently obtain Cs and above in the academic subjects, and A*s in anything creative! I always knew from a young age that art was the path I should follow, and I couldn’t be happier to be following my dream.

Graduating from the University of Wales in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design, I went on to achieve an OCN in Theatrical and Media Make Up, and used this along with my hairdressing NVQ  to specialise in wedding packages.

Throughout university I aspired to hair and makeup trends and often used these as the inspiration behind my garments. I worked and trained at Friends Hair Maindee  during my fashion degree and was taught hairdressing skills at the highest level, their work ethic and salon standards are second to none, and we still work very closely together til this day. After graduating I decided to save to travel the world and was lucky enough to be offered a full time position at the Celtic Manor resort. This helped me enormously and I managed to save enough over the three year period to feed my ambition to travel. During my time at the Celtic Manor I was part of the world's third biggest sporting event, The Ryder Cup. Customer service skills are essential here and the Celtic Manor taught me so much about 5* standards and policies.

I left the Celtic Manor resort in December 2010 and I moved to Sydney Australia, for a year, where I established my name in two of Sydneys most prestigious hotels, covering hair and make up for elite guests at a 5* plus standard, as well as offering my skills to other stylists as a trainer in the Shangri-La hotel ‘Renee Coppin International'. I also traveled around South East Asia, Thailand and New Zealand. It was an amazing experience that taught me so much!

When returning to the UK, I had experience working for the BBC in hair, make up, set design and costumes. This set me in good stands for the next stage of my career. By April 2012, I was ready to start a new adventure and began a mobile bridal business. This is something that I had dreamed of since my first wedding, when I was just 14 years old. I wanted to create a unique package that specialised in make up artistry and hairstyling, creating not only the perfect bride but the happiest bride. Everyone’s idea of beauty is different, and I pride myself on being able to listen and understand each bride’s individual needs so they can be their own unique version of perfection.

I opened my boutique in September 2014, offering services in bridal hair and make up, beauty treatments, and also selling a wide range of personalised bridal gifts featuring my 'Doodle Bow collection' I strived to use my artistic flare in every aspect of my business. But my aim for the boutique is not just to create a place where brides can discover my own services. I want to help them in all areas of their planning, providing recommendations for photographers, supplying bridal accesories, personal trainers, craftspeople and other creative influences that can contribute to the perfect wedding.

So, that’s the story so far! I hope this website sums up everything that I’m about and you can find exactly what you’re looking for… just as I have.
